Redmi Note 8 confirmed: a powerful upgrade?

Redmi’s primary lineup is onto a major upgrade. The Redmi’s best selling smartphone lineup Note series is at the threshold. According to a report, Xiaomi is working on the upcoming Note 8 currently. On Weibo, a chinese microblogging website, Xiaomi’s General Manager Lu Weibing just confirmed that their Note 8 will come in front of everyone soon as it is on development right now. The official report says it all.

Another hint is coming from India. Xiaomi India’s VP Mr. Manu Kumar Jain recently twitted about an upcoming gaming core smartphone which is coming very soon from now. Maybe that could be the Redmi Note 8, though we aren’t sure at all. After the MediaTek’s latest launch of gaming chipset Helio G90 and G90T, he also confirmed that a gaming phone would come very soon by Redmi in India. Probably the upcoming Redmi Note 8 would run on MediaTek Helio G90. And the other which would be Redmi Note 8 Pro, might be powered by Helio P90T processor. He also showed off the AnTuTu score of these chipsets which was an impressive point of 220K+. We are guessing these because the Mi A3 which is expected to launch on 21st August in India will run on SD 675. So there is strong possibility of having Helio G90 chips on Redmi Note 8 series.

Xiaomi India also twitted about implementing the 64 MP camera sensor. The Helio G90 chipset supports the 64 MP sensor as well. This is the right time to launch everything in one package.

Xiaomi reportedly said that they have sold over 5 million units of Redmi 7 series worldwide. And the most important thing is their 6 months launch cycle has come to an end for the Note 7 series launch. While they have launched the Note 7 series in February and it’s already August. So we can expect the Redmi Note 8 series to come at next month, in September. Keep an eye on us to get all the updates further.
