Microsoft is now officially ending it’s support for Windows 7. According to Beepingcomputer.com there are still a vass majority that still runs on Windows 7. More than 40% of users are still on the Windows 7 these days. But the long way OS is now on the way of it’s ending, not physically but in terms of support and liability.
Microsoft’s support web page has updated in sudden. They have revealed an information regarding the Windows 7 support issue. We got to know that they will discontinue their support from January 14, 2020 on Windows 7. Now they are urging their users on Windows 7 to upgrade their OS to Windows 10 to get the official support continuously. In this circumstance, the US techgiant is telling their users to upgrade their OS before January. Well, the upgrade is not available for free but you can do it for free somehow.
One more thing to tell. If you are a Windows 7 user and have a genuine user license, only then you can do it right.
The steps are mentioned below:
Step 1: First be confirmed that you have a licensed Windows 7 installed in your PC.
Step 2: If you have one, visit Windows 10 ISO download page.
Step 3: Now select the OS edition and language.
Step 4: Now download the file (5GB approx)
Step 5: Click on ‘Keep personal files and apps’ and proceed next.
Step 6: Now install the file. The installation process requires some time. Please wait untill it finishes.
Step 7: Once the installation process is complete, open setting and make sure your PC is connected to internet.
Step 8: Now go to Windows Update. Now select Activation and the computer/laptop. Now give your license key manually or the setup will recognise it automatically.
