Earlier this year, Mediatek announced it’s world’s first 5G modem integrated mobile chipset. They also said that they would start shipping this 5G chips later in 2019. Seems like the statement is in progress. This Mediatek 5G chip is likely to find it’s first ever parton which seems to be Xiaomi’s upcoming K30.
Recently, Xiaomi’s General Manager Lu Weibing also confirmed that their Redmi K30 is under construction. A brief presentation programme also assured the ground root of this news. Now, new leaks are coming directly from a famous Chinese blogger Digital Chinese Blogger on Weibo. We got some interesting facts and pre-specifications ahead of it’s official announcement.
However, it is already confirmed that the K30 will have genuine 5G connectivity instead of the typical 4G connection at all. But now the processor is revealed too. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 Pro is running on Mediatek G90T, gaming centric chipset. It is already blowing the market by dominating it’s competitor in it’s price range already. Now it seems like the K30 will be leading the mid range phones with 5G connectivity and better processing too. Though the Mediatek’s 5G is not as smooth as Qualcomm’s 5G solution, but the decision will help the consumers enjoy the seamless connection experience of 5G at a very affordable cost.
On Weibo, Lu Weibing posted two teaser images of the K30. We can get a clear image of the phone and for the specifications too. It will have a front facing punch hole type camera setup with two cameras. One for primary lens work and the other is for wide angle view. The phone seems to be as thin as it’s predecessors K20. But the upper chin will be more precisely cut as shown in the picture. Xiaomi tends to launch some exiting and more cool phones in the last couple of quarters. The phone will have the punch hole type AMOLED display like Samsung Galaxy flagships.
Xiaomi might release the K30 in early 2020. We shall wait for that.
